Ms. Morgan accurately articulates the emotions felt from notification of a deployment to coming home. I felt like I was right back in 2004 reading parts of my own story. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope you keep writing. God bless!

I purchased this book while training at Fort Knox and finished reading it the same night of purchase. I am in awe of the courage and perseverance exhibited by Ms. Renata Morgan during her time in OIF. As a young 1LT, I cannot imagine the emotions Ms. Morgan felt during her time overseas and in that environment. I’m glad I ran into you and I’m glad I was able to read your book. I pray many blessings come your way! Thank you for sharing your experience.

This is a beautiful written book. Once I started reading the book, I couldn’t put it down. Renata words had me basically at her side moving every step with her. A truly inspiring book of compassion, encouragement and faith! I cried and I laughed! Excellent book Renata Morgan.

A very moving and authentic story of bravery and commitment. Renata is a woman of power and commitment. She clearly shares her dedication to serving in the military and being an example for other soldiers and her son.

This is a very intuitive read. It gives a great perspective of life in the military as a mom, woman, female Soldier, and leader. All these roles matter in and out of the service and Ms. Morgan does a wonderful job describing her ability to tackle issues directly related to all Soldiers, Veterans, and people who may have experienced, soon to experience, or thinking about joining the military. Great read!!
