The best book I have ever read. The book is motivating and uplifting. I enjoyed every page of the book especially the story about leaving her son and the time both mother and son reunited. I also enjoyed how Renata mention the way the shower was rigged with a plastic jug that had holes punched out of the bottom of it in order to take a shower. I was sad to hear how she and others was food poisoned but glad that she and the others was ok. The book is very motivated, encouraging, and uplifting. I really enjoyed reading the book and so did my son and friend. I encourage anyone that has not read or brought this book to do, they will not be disappointed. I could go on and on and on about how much I enjoyed reading this book but it would be like writing the book all over again. Just buy the book. I want to tip my hat off to Renata Morgan for the great job she done on sharing the book and story with the world. Hope there’s another one to come. What a wonderful job. Thank you Renata for coming into my life and sharing your wonderful story with me, my son, and my friend, we Loved it “Great Job” Thank you also for you service to this country, and may God Bless you and your Family.

As a mother and a spouse of a military soldier, this book gave me a lot of insight into what goes on in the minds of soldiers being deployed from their families. I’m very proud of the author. I have much more respect for the military because not many could endure half of the challenges she had to face. *Caution* Make sure you have a box of Kleenex while reading.

I had the pleasure of meeting and conversing with Ms. Morgan this afternoon at Fort Stewart and purchased her book. Once I started reading her story I found that I could not lay the book down until I had finished reading it. As a veteran myself, I was pulled in by the accurate portrayal of the events of both the combat and family events that many service members experience as part of service to their country. Thanks Ms. Morgan for sharing your experience. Great book and may God continue to bless you.

Ms. Morgan accurately articulates the emotions felt from notification of a deployment to coming home. I felt like I was right back in 2004 reading parts of my own story. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope you keep writing. God bless!

I purchased this book while training at Fort Knox and finished reading it the same night of purchase. I am in awe of the courage and perseverance exhibited by Ms. Renata Morgan during her time in OIF. As a young 1LT, I cannot imagine the emotions Ms. Morgan felt during her time overseas and in that environment. I’m glad I ran into you and I’m glad I was able to read your book. I pray many blessings come your way! Thank you for sharing your experience.

This is a great book that explains how difficult and mentally challenging deploying can be! Leaving home and putting your current life and family on hold is a sacrifice that many Americans will never experience! Thank you Ms. Morgan for your service!
